# Install (both tools)

Needs Python 3.8+. Nothing to pip-install. Runs on your own machine; no data leaves it.

## RenewGuard

Paste an invoice or upload a card-statement CSV, confirm the extracted fields, save. Sample files are in samples/.

## StatementSnap
Needs `pdftotext` (Linux: `sudo apt install poppler-utils`; Mac: `brew install poppler`).

Try seed/sample_statement.pdf: it has one deliberately broken balance and shows NOT PROVEN.
Scanned PDFs are not supported. Statement text goes to Google only if you set GEMINI_API_KEY and rules fail; set STATEMENTSNAP_NO_AI=1 to disable.
